Yoga Bodywork is the culmination of over 25 years of experience working with a wide range of physical and energetic conditions. Eve’s approach recognises the body as a map each muscle, joint, bone, ligament, tendon and fascial webbing holding cellular memories and stories of movement and emotion. By combining acupressure, gentle stretching, joint mobilisation, deep tissue and breathwork, Yoga Massage encourages the body to release tension and return to its naturally aligned rhythm .
Each session invites the body into the parasympathetic state, the place of rest, digest, repair and renewal. Clients often describe feeling lighter, taller, more open, with clearer energy flow and calmer focus long after the treatment ends.
Eve’s unique style blends the grounding palming and thumbing techniques of Yoga Massage, acupressure, with intuitive breath-led movement, utilising feet, hands, thumbs, forearms, elbows & knees to manoeuvre the recipients body into passive opeining stretches. Treatments take place on a comfortable futon, where the recipient remains clothed in soft, loose clothing to allow full freedom of movement. Using her hands, forearms, knees, elbows and even feet, Eve moves in a slow, rhythmic sequence with symbiotic elements, pressing, stretching, rocking and mobilising joints to stimulate circulation and free blockages along the body’s Sen energy lines.
One very relieving skill is ‘backwalking’, a deep compression somatic technique rooted in Northern Thai tradition. With precise foot pressure matched to the clients breath, this method opens the lungs, releases muscular tension, and clears the mind. When the spine is ready, gentle cracks or air releases can occur, creating a profound sense of spacial awareness, clarity and energy flow. Clients often leave feeling not only physically lighter but emotionally uplifted, energised, more connected to their breath and grounded in their body.
To deepen the healing, Eve often integrates warmed Thai Herbal Compresses, known as luk pra kob or “herbal pressing muslin wraps,” originally an ancient practise applied on injured soldiers returning from war. These are steamed bundles of traditional herbs such as lemongrass, turmeric, kaffir lime, eucalyptus, ginger, galangal and camphor, applied in gentle rhythmic rolling, pressing, holding motions around and along the Sen energy systems and held on acupressure points of the body. The heat soothes sore muscles, reducing stiffness, relieving aches, sprains, pains and stored tension, improves blood and lymph circulation and thereby eliminates toxins.
The therapy’s warmth also helps calm the nervous system, guiding the body away from stress and into a deeply relaxed state. Beyond easing muscle pain, herbal compresses promote better sleep, deeper regulated breathing and healthier glowing skin.
A session with Eve is a meditative experience flowing between dynamic movement and stillness. You may feel immediate relief from stiffness or pain, while also noticing emotional shifts as stagnant energy releases. Post treatment clients can often feel energised and brighter as if someone switched the lights on or initially drained, sluggish and overwhelmingly tired as the body releases. Days later, clients often report improved posture, mental clarity, and an overall feeling of well being.
Eve recommends drinking a herbal tea directly afterwards, staying hydrated, taking an Epsom salt bath, and allowing time to rest with your treatment so the body can fully integrate the benefits.
Yoga Massage is more than just a ‘treat’, it’s a ‘Treatment’ geered to unwravel and recompose a clients health and well being, outlining the necessary steps to do this within a treatment plan. Acute conditions require several treatments in succession to reveal and cure the nature of their wound. I recommend 3treatments/week or 3xweekly treatments in order to effectuate this result depending on severity. Regular monthly treatments are helpful within the context of a good health plan and preventatively avert dis-ease occurring in the first place.
